NEWSLETTER: January 2016

Significant Enhancements to Appery.io to Kick Off 2016!

We started 2016 with important improvements to our platform:

  • New Ionic components and templates including Card and Text
  • Redesigned API Express visual service editor to simplify building advanced services
  • Server code Plug-ins and Snippets

All of these features will further simplify mobile app development within the enterprise.

See our blog post for more details about our recent enhancements.

API Express Now Available for Standalone Deployment

API Express, our enterprise integration middleware component, is now available for standalone licensing and deployment. API Express continues to be available as part of the broader Appery.io platform, of course. This new deployment capability enables two new use cases:

  • Deploy API Express on-premises, behind your firewall, in order to better meet your company’s IT policies. In this configuration, you can still leverage the rest of the Appery.io platform in the cloud (public or private).
  • For companies who are not ready to deploy the entire Appery.io platform, they can deploy API Express to modernize their existing backend systems wiht REST APIs to be consumed by other clients. These companies can deploy the rest of the Appery.io platfom at a later time.

One added capability of the standalone version of API Express is that it offers support for Java Services. This new capability increases the flexibility of the API Express by enabling enterprises to deploy new, or existing Java Services to integrate with their backend systems.

Appery.io in the News Once Again

Not only has Appery.io started off the year with great developments and additions, we have been mentioned in six different news articles this month. Our CEO Fima Katz has been highlighted in the predictions of 2016 by Enterprise Apps Today and the SD Times.

"We’ll begin to see enterprises evolve their mobility efforts into plans for broader digitalization. Enterprises in key verticals such as healthcare, payments, automotive and energy will start to experiment with IoT devices. These efforts are going to require adoption of a more complete mobile integration platform." -Fima Katz in SD Times.
